Hello and Welcome!
I thought I should put all my environmental thoughts in one place and so because one blog is never enough: Green and Quirky!
Great name right? I thought it's a lot like me, Green (as in environmentally aware) with a touch of quirky (as in wanting to put a windmill on my roof). Now to be clear, I don't think the things I will write about here are quirky, and some may be down right serious, but it has been pointed out to me on occasion that my ideas may not be mainstream. Mainstream is over rated.
So on to my first post! Yay!

It's a plastic free March! re-nest is hosting a No-New-Plastic-for-a-Month challenge. Basically you try really hard not to buy any new plastic for a month. Here are the basic rules:
1. Buy No New Plastic. This means that for one month you will avoid buying any product that contains new plastic.
2. Consider The Plastic You Already Live With. Take an inventory of the plastic already in your home and use this to decrease your use patterns.
3. Recycle Any Unused Plastic. If you don't use it, get rid of it the right way.
Simple right? Come on, join in!
hey, don't lurk, leave a comment so I know you're here :)
Our recycle bins are overflowing waiting for pick up tomorrow. You have officially converted me!
